New York kiss episode seems to have left bad taste in Katrina's mouth. Perhaps that’s why the pretty lady has declared loud and clear that she wouldn't kiss or wear bikinis in the future. She has even made it official and told the producers and directors categorically about her decision.
According to reports Katrina has decided not to lock lips even if people use the oldest trick to persuade her: the script demanded it. Sources also says that she has made it clear to producer Karan Johar and director Tarun Mansukhani that she wouldn't do kissing and bikini scenes in Dostana 2.
Katrina admitted that she did scenes in the past that she wasn't comfortable but she is not going to repeat the mistakes in the future.
Confirming the story Kat told, “I don't deny I've done scenes in the past where I did things that I wasn't comfortable with. But now I won't. I just don't feel comfortable doing kissing scenes, or for that matter, wearing a bikini on screen.”
It is also said that Katrina refused to kiss Ranbir Kapoor in both Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani and Rajneeti in spite of the persuasion from the directors. All the intimate scenes in Raajneeti are between Ranbir and his American girlfriend played by Sarah Thompson. In the Indian portion of Ranbir's story, there's no intimacy with Katrina.
She convinced the director that the character of the dignified politician would not go down well with the audience doing intimate scenes.
“It's true. I'm not at all comfortable doing kissing scenes. Call me a prude or conservative. I just don't feel kissing scenes jell well with our audiences. So no kissing scenes for me, ” she adds.
This is the hottest lady Padmapriya who is emerging from south. She is appearing in Striker with Siddarth. She is also planning to shift to Mumbai Bandra, for making her career in Bollywood strong. Padmapriya is already the darling of many hearts and some are saying that she is going to be another Vidya Balan from south.
Mallika can comfortably slip into most outrageous and revealing dresses as was quite evident at the premiere of ‘Inglourious Basterds’ in Hollywood last year. But the bikini she donned for the shoot of a sequence in director Jennifer Lynch’s movie Hissss left so little to imagination that her brother barged onto the movie’s sets in Madh Island and stopped the shoot midway.
If reports are to be believed, Mallika was wearing a semi-transparent skin-coloured bikini that gave the impression of total nudity. Also present at the shoot was a nude body-double for Mallika.
Apparently, what Jennifer wanted was to shoot Mallika’s face and take shots of the nude body double and then merge them together on the editing table.
However, Mallika’s brother Vikram Lamba, who is also one of the producers of the film, didn’t approve of his sister wearing such a revealing bikini and reportedly stopped the shoot, demanding that Mallika be given a better dress.
A heated argument followed between Vikram and Govind Menon, another co-producer. Surprisingly, Mallika sided with Menon and said she had no problem wearing the translucent bikini.
But it was Vikram who eventually had his way and Mallika was given a skin-coloured bodysuit. Mallika plays a snakewoman in the film.
Flaunting one's body in a bikini is no more taboo in Hindi films, but new entrant Zarine Khan, who debuted with "Veer", says she would never be able to don a two-piece costume on screen.
In "Veer", the Mumbai girl was covered from head to toe throughout the film. But is she ready to play a chic urban girl and wear contemporary costumes in her future movies?
"I am more than willing to do so. What I am sure about though is that I would never be able to wear a bikini. That's because I am constantly thinking that I am fat, I am fat, I am fat. Till the time this voice reverberates inside my head, I will always be apprehensive," Zarine told IANS.
"I'm very conscious about my weight. In fact, during my school and college days, I used to weigh as much as 100 kilos. It's only now that I weigh a lot lesser. I want to play all kinds of roles and get into the kind of attire that a Hindi film heroine is required to wear.
"However, before that I will have to get rid of all the excess weight that I currently have on me. It's just a few more pounds to go and after that it should all be well," said Zarine.
Zarine, who plays princess Yashodhara in "Veer" that has Salman in the lead role, understands that if she wants to be in the business of showbiz, she will need a good figure.
"Whatever role that I consent to play, it has to be done with dedication. However, I'm a new entrant and there are so many established actresses who are taking the size zero route. Obviously, I can't beat them due to my body structure, but I wish to get into shape to the best of my ability," she said.
Narrating her journey of weighty issues, Zarine said: "It was only after I started doing modelling that my weight went down by 40-45 kilos from an original 100. I have a tendency to lose and put on weight. This is why while working on 'Veer', I was so happy. For a change no one was asking me to lose weight."
In "Veer" she was not required to look skinny; therefore she could even pile on chocolates.
"Why just chocolates? I also got to eat other junk stuff which I had to earlier sacrifice. Any actress would have thought 1,000 times before eating the kind of things that I got on a platter on the sets of 'Veer'. Having said that, I had to be reasonably conscious about not becoming 100 kilos again. I was regular with my workouts to maintain a curvaceous body."
Zarine is now biding her time before she gets ready for her next venture.
"I am taking things slow and waiting for what best comes to me next. Industry has been supportive so far though I'm looking forward to something concrete. I'm taking things slow; there is no hurry," she said.

The last few months have been pretty hectic for Vimala who’s done some money-spinning Mollywood films. “Those films also showcased my acting repertoire and I received some major awards for them. While awards are perks, the thing that matters most is audience appreciation,” she points out.
The Sydney-born Tamilian is now yearning to return to do a film in Chennai. “I am hoping to sign up a big Kollywood film one of these days,”she says.
An ecstatic Priyanka Chopra thanked god for being kind after she was declared winner of the 56th National Film Award for best actress for her performance in Madhur Bhandarkar's Fashion.
"Won the National Award for fashion! Aaaaaaaahhhh! Too excited!! God is kind and so are all of u!" Priyanka posted on Twitter as soon as her victory was announced.
The 27-year-old has also thanked her director Bhandarkar, producer Ronnie Screwvala, co-stars Kangana Ranaut, Mugdha Godse, Arjan Bajwa, Arbaaz Khan and the entire cast and crew of the film! "God is kind! Yaaaaayyy!" she added.
Set against the glittering backdrop of the glamorous but ruthless world of haute couture, the film tells the story of a small town girl who dreams to make it big in the world of glitz and glamour. Priyanka, who has won her first ever National Award with this film, played the struggling model named Meghna Mathur.
Priyanka has also congratulated Kangana, who has walked away with the best supporting actress award for the same film.
"Congrats Kangana!! I would have not been Meghna Mathur without u! You deserve it," she said.

Besides these she also starts work on a romantic film with Imran Khan produced by Kunal Kohli. “With so much happening, I’ve no time to even breathe,” says the actress, who in two years since her debut is knocking on the doors of Bollywood’s czarinas.
“I’m so glad that I got this opportunity to work with Ashutosh,” she says. “He is awesome.” She is fortunate that her roles are also varied. If she will prance in a bikini around Akshay Kumar in Housefu l, then she’ll probably walk away with top acting honours for her role as a revolutionary in Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Se with Abhishek. In the midst of this packed action, is there anything more she’d like? “Well, I’d like to do a movie with Salman Khan,” she smiles. “And Aamir Khan too.” Ok, and now please don’t put her wish under a scanner and think she’s sending out coded messages to anyone out there. After working with the top bracket — Shah Rukh Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Akshay Kumar and Abhishek Bachchan, Deepika would but naturally veer in the direction of Salman or perhaps even Aamir.
After her film ‘London Dreams’ failed to click at the box office, Asin Thottumkal is left without work in the Hindi film industry.
“I have no films as of now. All that I can reveal is that future projects are under production and I can’t talk about them until the producers give me a go- ahead,” Asin divulged.
Though Asin assured us that her fans would see more of her in movies this year, we hear from sources that with no Bollywood offers on hand, Asin is now looking at South Indian film possibilities. Buzz is that Asin has agreed to do a Malayalam film for a renowned director. She is also reportedly in talks with some other filmmakers from South India.
In between there were rumours that Asin was supposed to pair up with Abhishek Bachchan for Ashutosh Gowariker’s ‘Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Se’. However, the actress rejected the project finding the script not too appealing. We wonder if being so strictly choosy will prove a boon or bane for this talented actress.

T-town dazzler Sheela has just rung in the New Year with a lot of shopping and partying. And you can hear the delight in her voice when she says she couldn’t have started off 2010 in a better way. “I chilled out for 10 days in Dubai, turned into a shopaholic, ate some of the most scrumptious meals and partied like there was no tomorrow,” she grins fondly.
And before you assume she’d been holidaying with a guy, hold your thoughts. Sheela had taken time out to “chill” with her family. In her new film with NTR, Sheela seems to have reinvented herself from docile girl next-door to a sultry diva. Is that a one-off, or do we see her as a hottie henceforth? “I deliberately picked this role as I wanted to break free from the traditional girl image that I had acquired after Seethakokachilaka and Parugu. I wanted to play the glam role over the village belle’s role,” she says.
Sheela’s transformation into sexy siren has had its advantages too. She claims that she’s now flooded with film offers. “Among the 10 films I was offered, I have signed up one big ticket flick opposite a leading star. I am not in a hurry to sign films as I am just 20,” she reveals.
While her professional life is eventful, Sheela’s personal life isn’t too colourful. “I party with close friends, but I share only professional vibes with colleagues. Even Allu Arjun and NTR are just friends,” she says. Now, where have we heard all that before?
Apparently Anushka Sharma has locked lips with Shahid Kapoor not once, but thrice for her forthcoming YRF film, directed by actor-turned-director Parmeet Sethi. While most girls would happily kiss the young star, she wasn’t turning cartwheels at the idea. A source says, “The kisses are not the brush-of-thelips type. They are full-on smooches.”
Reportedly, Anushka shared great chemistry with Shahid when they were shooting for this film in the States. They had gelled very well and seemed to be enjoying each other’s company very much. And we don’t blame YRF or Parmeet Sethi if they decided on the three smooches because they wanted to exploit that chemistry and have it translated on screen as well.
But Anushka was not comfortable. “Parmeet had to do a lot of cajoling. Finally, he managed to convince her,” our source said.

As on date, the entire shooting of the film has been completed. The film is in the editing stages. Let’s hope that all the three smooches go unedited in the final print.
