Indo-Canadian porn star Sunny Leone hopes that with Jism 2, she can at least match the standard that Bipasha Basu set with the prequel.

"I have seen her (Bipasha) and she is gorgeous and amazing in the first movie. I hope I can meet up to her standard and not let her down in 'Jism 2'," the 30-year-old said in Mumbai in an interview.

Size zero brings luck to Parvathi Melton

What a film with Pawan Kalyan (read Jalsa) could not give her, a svelte look (size zero to be specific) has brought her good luck. It has landed her in two films. If one is with Sairam Shankar (Yamoha Yamaha), the other other is a very big project - Ravikumar Chavali's Kalki, starring Balakrishna. Well, unlike in the first film, she is only one of the three divas in the latter. Nevertheless, it is a shot in the arm for her.

It may be noted that Jalsa was expected to catapult her to the starry orbit, but much of the limelight was cornered by her co-star, Illeana. The Vennela actress went a bit bold in Vishnu Babu's Game, which did not give her the push. Despite the lissome figure and voluptuous looks, Parvathi has fallen behind in the race.

She needs a hit at this moment. The title number in Dookudu, where she shook legs with Mahesh Babu, was a top notch item song of the year 2011. In year 2012, with two releases in the offing, hope Parvathi will make it like never before.

Veena Malik’s next: ‘Aesthetically shot’ bold scenes!

Pakistani actress Veena Malik, who shot to fame with reality show ‘Bigg Boss’ and then to infamy by posing nude for a magazine cover, has now shown her discomfort in stripping for a film. The actress, who is up to her eyeballs in controversy, has taken it a notch further by filming some bold scenes for Rajeev Ruia’s ‘Zindagi 50:50’.

According to what we’ve heard, Veena’s role in the movie is that of a sex worker, and she has apparently gone nude for some scenes in the film. Speaking to a leading daily, Veena said, “When Rajeev approached me with the role, he wasn`t very confident about whether I would be able to pull it off. I prefer playing a bad girl rather than a cute, bubbly one. My ideal role has to be negative, strong and performance-driven.”

However, as far as shedding her clothes is concerned, Veena has opposed vehemently. Says the actress, “I`m not stripping for any film. I have never gone nude nor does the film have such scenes. There are a few bold scenes, but they are aesthetically shot.”

The reality star was recently seen aping Angelina Jolie’s now-famous pose on the Oscars stage. But she denies doing it deliberately. She calls the entire act impromptu and says that that was the only way she could have posed.

In the past the actress has been seen posing nude for a magazine cover with an ISI tattoo on her arm. The feat had grabbed the attention of many extremist groups and fatwas had been issued against her.

Rajeev Ruia’s ‘Zindagi 50:50’ looks like one film that we need to wait for. Apart from the ‘aesthetically shot’ bold scenes, Veena will be seen gyrating to the tunes of an item number with actress Riya Sen, who had been dating Ashmit Patel, apparently who happens to be Veena’s latest beau.

Seems like the film has a lot to offer its viewers. And we sincerely hope that Malik steers clear of all controversies this time around!

Sonam Kapoor to act with Dhanush.

‘Kolaveri Di’ sensation Dhanush is quite upbeat about his first film Raanjhana. But it wasn’t certain who he would romance in the film. Now it’s heard that Sonam Kapoor might be roped in for the film which is going to be a love story.

The style icon Sonam getting paired with the south star Dhanush makes for a fresh pairing. According to reports, Sonam is approached for the role, but she still has to give the nod. Sonam’s spokesperson also confirms it to a daily, “She has been offered this film opposite Dhanush.” But Sonam Kapoor currently has two projects in Bollywood to which she has already committed. If she wants to do Raanjhana, she has to adjust her dates.

Raanjhana is directed by the Tanu weds Manu fame Aanand L Rai, and like Tanu Weds Manu, the movie Raanjhnaa is also a love story and though the film is set against the backdrop of the holy city Banaras, the film and its characters will take the audiences to Delhi, Punjab, Chennai, etc.

Rai wanted a simple-looking man for the film and Dhanush suits the role perfectly. The only problem with the actor is his Hindi. Dhanush has already started his lessons. Surprisingly, the actor has also found an interesting way to learn Hindi. According to Dhanush, the problem is not the language, it’s the culture. The actor says he will learn the culture and the language will come automatically.

However, it is yet to be seen whether Sonam Kapoor manages dates for Raanjhnaa.

Prefer lovemaking scenes to kissing: Bipasha

Bipasha Basu on her brief sabbatical from films and why it is important to enjoy her single status right now...

A chirpy Bipasha Basu, on her second trip to Ahmedabad in the last two months, looks refreshing and stands tall in her slender frame. A self-confessed foodie, she admits to "enjoying Gujarati thalis". In a chat she talks on why relationships fall apart today, pressure on women to get married and why she only follows her opinion when it comes to kissing and showing skin on screen...

After a brief sabbatical, suddenly, you have a lot of releases in 2012. It was a personal decision to stay away from films. However, if you ask me 'why', I am not going to tell you.

Do you feel even today there is pressure on women to get married if they have crossed a certain age? There are two kinds of single individuals: Either they are single by choice or just single. I belong to the category of being single by choice. I have been on the other side and have been in relationships since the age of 15. There is no point in rushing into something wrong just to get married. You must know how to take care of yourself and find happiness. Every relationship has its share of attraction initially, but later it boils down to companionship. You need to be alone and be your best companion. Only when you are happy, it's reflected in your relationships with friends. If you have a positive attitude in life, you find your real soul mate. Even if there is a lot of pressure from friends and family to get married, I have to grow beyond these pressures. If you want a baby then there are sperm banks. Personally I still believe in fairy tale romances and know that my soulmate will come to me. I have two married friends and they advise me, 'Bipasha, drag this as long as you can.'

Why are married couples advising singles to enjoy their single status? Why do you feel relationships are more fragile now? In my parents' generation couples were much happier. While mom and I have a lot of similarities, our level of independence is different. A woman today is not ready to take the slightest amount of dirt from a man. Believe me there are meek and calm women who keep all this negativity simmering within and one fine day when they break down, the ugly truth comes out. The equations between men and women have remained the same - men still do what they do, but since women have become independent, they want to follow their hearts as well. When both partners realize that there is no love between them then there is no point to carry on! Forget tolerance, lack of love between couples is resulting in separation after years of togetherness. But having said that, no I am not a feminist nor am I a cynic. But I will definitely take time to choose my soulmate.

You've been friends with costars who're younger than you. I was in a serious relationship with someone who was seven years older than me. I don't mind dating someone between 28-35, but he should be free-spirited and flexible. But I can't date anyone younger than 28. My friends will laugh at me. (Laughs).

You recently made a statement that screen kissing frightens you. But you've done such scenes before. Kissing is a very intimate experience. But kissing is an integral part of movies. I prefer lovemaking scenes where we are wearing these off-shoulder dresses and play acting. It might sound stupid, but kissing scares me.

Priyamani's B'wood Next

Priyamani will be paired opposite Riteish Deshmukh in her next B'wood film.

She made her debut in Bollywood with a small but powerful cameo in Mani Ratnam's Raavan and followed it with a gritty role in Ram Gopal Varma's Raktha Charitra. Now, Priyamani is finally following up her bit roles with a new film, where she will be paired opposite Riteish Deshmukh.

Confirming this news to Chennai Times, she says, "Yes, I will be doing a film opposite Riteish. It will be directed by Chandrakanth Singh." We learn that this film is currently untitled and will take off shortly.

Riteish currently is busy with promotions of his next release alongside Genelia, while Priya has a few commitments in Kannada, Telugu and Malayalam films. There are rumours that Priya may have another Bollywood film in the pipeline too.

Parineeti Chopra: Bollywood's Next Bikini Babe?

The Chopra girls are many things, but inhibited isn't one of them! Priyanka Chopra has never shied away from revealing scenes; and now her cousin, debutante actress Parineeti Chopra, has said that she'd be game for donning a bikini should the script call for it.

Parineeti is one of Bollywood's newest It girls. Her performance in Ladies vs. Ricky Bahl, in which she played a spoiled Delhi girl who gets conned by the titular character (played by Ranveer Singh), was highly praised, and she has so far swept the Best Debut category at awards shows.

It's not bikini talk Parineeti Chopra. The actress has said she'd be willing to do intimate scenes as well, as long as they aren't gratuitous. Usually when an actress says such things, it's because she's trying to tag herself with the "sexy" label; but in Parineeti's case, she seems to be quite genuine. She may be a debutante but she knows how this industry works: between cousin Priyanka Chopra and Parineeti's own experience as an assistant at Yash Raj Films (who have incidentally signed her to a three-film contract, same as Ranveer Singh).

Parineeti's role in Ladies vs. Ricky Bahl has established her as a cute, sassy actress. She's not out to steam up the screen--she just wants to be realistic. Sometimes a role requires that an actor show a little bit of skin, and she's happy to do it. What will make her female fans around the world happy is that she's not some stick thin, size zero actress. Parineeti has a healthy, curvy figure; and rather than talk about how she's trying to lose weight or get thin, she's embracing bikinis.

Now that's an example of the Chopra confidence!

Bollywood posters go dare bare with women

Chiselled abdomens, cleavage, the body contour...Bollywood filmmakers are zooming in on women's curves to create titillating posters, aimed at crucial first week collections, perhaps emboldened by today's liberal censors.

The first look of Vikram Bhatt's production " Hate Story" creates a mystery about the woman in the picture but sends out the right message about the film's content - bold and daring. It has a mystery girl with her bare, tattooed back visible and a gun placed strategically at the back of her jeans.

" 'Hate Story' is a brave film. Of course, everyone wants eyeballs for the film, but one can't have a sizzling poster and then have nothing inside the film. I feel the poster is a very tame representation of a film and so I have to say that 'Hate Story' is really brave and pathbreaking in its content," Bhatt told IANS.

Until the "Hate Story" poster was launched Wednesday, the first look of Mahesh and Mukesh Bhatt's " Jism 2" and "Blood Money" were the talk of the tinsel town.

Film historian S.M.M. Ausaja, who has a book "Bollywood In Posters" to his credit, has an interesting observation.

"Over the years, it is the first week's collections that matter the most now. All filmmakers are desperately trying to cover their costs in their first week. To cover that, they uncover women in posters," Ausaja told IANS.

"Titillating through posters is not a new thing. Years ago there was a movie called 'Chetna'. It had a very bold poster. But I feel now the film industry has come to a stage where even if it has 10 percent sensual content, filmmakers try to cash in on it with such gimmicks."

The peekaboo into "Jism 2", a movie which promises to be more sensual than its prequel "Jism", has a well-endowed woman, Indo-Canadian porn star Sunny Leone, lying naked with a wet white sheet covering her. The shot is bold, yet subtly seductive -- enough to generate curiosity.

While the poster of "Blood Money" is more direct and in-the-face, with Amrita Puri dressed in a bikini, striking a suggestive pose with a bare-chested Kunal Khemu, and both lying in a pool of money.

In recent times, Bollywood has seen an array of films with suggestive posters: " The Dirty Picture", " Sahib Biwi Aur Gangster", " Dum Maaro Dum", "Dev D", " Kurbaan", "Julie", "Paap", "Sins" and the long-awaited "Rang Rasiya".

"The Dirty Picture" had bold and beautiful Vidya Balan in a cleavage-baring, itsy-bitsy red blouse, standing undaunted even as three men - Naseeruddin Shah, Tusshar Kapoor and Emraan Hashmi - were clicked too close for comfort in the poster.

Dusky beauty Deepika Padukone's wild side was unleashed when the first look of "Dum Maaro Dum" was unravelled. The poster had a zoomed in side look at her washboard abs, and her long, curly tresses resting stylishly over her bosom.

Kareena Kapoor bared her toned back for the poster of "Kurbaan", in which she was seen getting up, close and personal with her beau Saif Ali Khan.

The poster of Emraan Hashmi-Jacqueline Fernandes-starrer "Murder 2" was steamy too, and so was the glimpse into Ketan Mehta's "Rang Rasiya", with Randeep Hooda and Nandana Sen seen in a suggestive position.

Bhatt notes: "Bollywood per se has always flirted with the bold film. But now with liberal censors, people are able to try bolder stuff -- adult content for an audience that is not judgmental, for an audience that is not embarrassed to watch sensuality."
